Benefits for authorized full-time, non-uniformed
employees:
Holidays: Eleven (11) paid holidays per year.
Insurance: Group Medical, Dental, Vision and Life.

Sick Leave: Full-time employees receive twenty (20) days per year
of which three (3) can be used as sick days. The remaining seventeen
(17) accrue for short-term disability. Short-term disability leave
accrues up to a maximum of sixty (60) days.
Pension Plan: Voluntary and contributory, employees are eligible
to participate after completing one year of service.
Worker’s
Compensation: Worker’s Compensation Insurance
coverage is provided for each employee for medical bills and work
time lost due to on-the-job-injuries.
Tuition Reimbursement: The City of Osceola provides education assistance
to full-time employees. An employee may be reimbursed 100% of cost
of tuition and fees, excluding books and materials upon satisfactory
completion of an eligible course, which has been approved by their
Department Manager in advance of registration. Reimbursement will
only apply to courses completed toward an Associates or Bachelors
Degree.
